I heard a discussion earlier this week regarding the next PS3 update due mid June. I’ve also had a browse around the net to see if I can find out any more info, unfortunately I haven’t come up with anything more than I heard.
It has been rumoured that Trophies are to be launched which will be a comparison to XBox 360′s gamer achievements. As you progress through games and complete certain tasks you are awarded Trophies. The current 360 scheme adds the score to your gamer profile, view my scores and profiles above. Other than boasting how big your score is there isn’t any more you can do with these achievements, maybe the PS3′s effort will build upon this and offer extra incentives with the more trophies you earn? We’ll have to wait and see?
