PS3 Update

Dec 2007 on GamingVersion 2.0 was released recently and has been quickly followed by 2.01 to fix some stability issues, 2.0 added the ability to remotely turn on and access the PS3 using your PSP handheld. There is also updates to the dash, with coloured themes now available and improvements to the parental controls.
I did notice that my Home Server was recognised by the PS3 without addition configuration.
It has been anounced that PS3 is adding DivX support but no news of when that will come? This came quickly after Microsoft confirmed Xvid support was to be included with the fall update due on 4th Dec.
The PS3 hasn’t sold as well as Sony had expected and it is rumoured that an investigation is underway to determine why stores aren’t premoting the PS3 as Sony would like. It doesn’t take to much searching around to find Free PS3′s with mobile phone contracts, make your own minds up about the console!
