Chrome FTP support
I noticed this week that Chrome is now downloading items from ftp links, just need more support for the browser to make it a permanent one browser solution, Natwest is the next one, I used to be able to do my banking through Chrome but since the update to version 3 and above Natwest refuses to work and I have to revert to IE8.
Shouldn’t be too long now until Google opens up Chrome for third party applications to plug-in, Roboform password manager announced it was working with Google to release its toolbar, their beta version is available to use with the Chromium browser and should shortly be available to Google’s Chrome beta. The statement from Roboform read:
When will a version of RoboForm that works on Google Chrome be available?
Currently Google Chrome does not have a public add-ons framework in the same way that Mozilla does for Firefox. This means that there are very few add-ons publicly available from any software provider, including us. However, our developers have been in constant communication with Google for the past few months and have done most of the leg work. When Google finalizes their public extensions framework, we will make every effort to ensure that RoboForm will work for Google Chrome within a very short time.
