Office 2007 Update +IE8
Posted by Simon Salvin on 30. Apr 2009 on Internet, PCService Pack 2 for Microsoft’s Office 2007 suite has just been released to Windows update. If you have Office 2007, run Windows update now to receive the update, it is quite large so be prepared for at least a 30 minute download and install.
This update adds Open Document Format compatibility and save as PDF support without the need for third party plug-ins.
An overview of all the updated features can be found here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953195
Internet Explorer 8 was released a few weeks ago and available only as a direct download from the IE8 website, this has now been released to Windows Update and if you haven’t already got this you’ll be prompted when next visiting Windows Update.
We still prefer Google Chrome over IE8 and after recently trialling Apple’s new Safari 4 Beta we’ve decided Chrome’s simplicity wins over Safari’s polished interface.
