I’ve been playing around with the blog as you may have noticed over the last couple of weeks and also with some external sites where I’ve been sending the blog info. The first update you may have noticed is the “Bookmark” button under each post and the similar “Subscribe” button in the right hand pane. These buttons allow you to add the post to your favourite website or add the feed respectively.

If you’re a Google searcher which most people are these days! Then you can create a custom google page with the info you want to see, when you open the google home page look to the top right hand corner of the page and click onto igoogle, now each time you open google you’ll have your own personal page, you can also add the Simple PC blog feed to your google page using the subscribe button.

One of the other social networking tools I’ve been exploring recently is Facebook, not something I thought I’d ever say and I’m still not entirely sure if its going to benefit me or hinder me. After reading many nightmare stories about the amount of emails received from facebook with every poke or update from your listed “friends”, said in a loose term as it appears that anyone can invite themselves to be your friend? I made sure I spent some time going through all the settings and found tucked away the email preference page, it’s quite amazing the amount of boxes you have to untick to ensure your not flooded with email. If you want to give it a go then please ensure you check all the settings thoroughly.

Maybe you’re already using facebook, if so why not find me? And I’ll let you know how I’m getting on with it in a month or two?
