Updated info for Spyware Doctor & Picasa
Further to my previous articles regarding the above mentioned programs, I have come across a couple of small issues which you may encounter, and here’s the solutions should you need it….
- Picasa 3 is only available for download direct from the Picasa website, due to the release still being Beta it is NOT offered via the Google updater. When you install version 3 it will replace version 2.
- Spyware Doctor Starter Edition is only available via the Google updater, however if the new version is not offered on the Software Updates Tab within the updater then you may need to uninstall the Google Updater and download the latest version, this will NOT effect the software currently installed by the updater. To do this follow these simple steps:
- Windows XP users go to Start>Control Panel>Add & Remove Programs, click on to Google Updater to highlight and click the ‘Remove’ button. Once completed go to the Google Pack website to download.
- Windows Vista users go to Start > in the search box type Programs, then click Programs & Features, click on to Google Updater to highlight and then click the Uninstall button at the top of the window. Once completed go to the Google Pack website to download.
