Virgin warns illegal downloaders: stop or face prosecution – News, Music – The Independent.
Click the above link to read this article regarding Virgin Media. There has been news flying around recently regarding Internet Service Providers snooping on the data we download. It looks like Virgin is the first ISP to make the move and is preparing to ban continuous downloaders and even prosecute.
My advise to anyone worried about this is to stop using peer to peer file sharing programs such as emule or limewire, not only are these programs promoting illegal file downloads but they are also the perfect place for virus distribution.
I would recommend using legal sites such as itunes or MSN music, you’ll have to pay for your music but its cheaper than buying from the high street, it will transfer to CD or your MP3 player.
