CCleaner Part 2
For me the ‘Tools’ section is the killer part of this program (killer being good, for those that were unsure of that comment!).
The ‘Startup’ button once pressed displays a list of all items that start and run in the background when you turn on the PC, this can be accessed from a hidden menu within Windows, but this does exactly the same job, just be careful what you decide to disable, you’ll want your anti virus and graphics driver starting! Earlier today I ran an update for my HP printer which sneakily added the HP Software Update to run at startup without asking me first! You’ll find many programs do this, Adobe, Java, Apple to name a few, so I’m going to disable this.
If you’ve ever rolled back your system to an earlier date after a problem using system restore then you may like the next section, aptly named ‘System Restore’. You can simply view all the restore points that have been created, usually at an update or program install which you can see above, and then delete those points you don’t require, it disables the latest point just for safety.
The first button in the list but the last one and best one for me to talk about is the ‘Uninstall’ button. 
You may ask why bother when you can do the same from ‘Control Panel>Add & Remove Programs(XP) or Programs & Features(Vista), but this digs a little deeper when removing those unwanted programs, ensuring all those left behind bits aren’t left behind!
You can also rename any entry to a more friendly name should you wish or remove those stubborn entries you removed long ago but just want to hang around on the list.
