New PC's

Posted by on 18. Jan 2008 on PC

Christmas 2006 was slow for me, it was the first Christmas I’d been trading and my main advertising wasn’t out there yet, it was like a drought and particularly slow in December & January. For Christmas 2007 I feared the worst and prepared for a slow month or two, forgetting my advertising was now out in the local directories, Thomson and Yellow Pages. Soon the phone was ringing and the diary began to fill up. Most suprising for me was the amount of repairs, I had expected calls for new PC’s but it didn’t happen, infact I recall just 2 enquiries for laptops, and one of those was last minute Christmas Eve.

The PC trend for Christmas has been laptops, far out selling desktop units, on the few times over December I’ve had to enquire about laptops my suppliers have been wiped out with the odd 1 or 2 remaining, the first to go were the incredible deals on mid priced dual core laptops, flyiong off the shelves with deals around £450, by Christmas Eve all the basic Semprom and Celeron laptops had been snapped up just leaving the high end £800 + laptops.

So with January here, infact not long to go really, time flies! I expected quite a few calls from all the people who had somehow crashed their new PC, but I was wrong again, don’t get me wrong there’s been plenty of repair calls just not new PC’s, and unlike December many people must have been waiting to spend their money wisely with sale purchases and I’ve been supplying lots of new PC’s.

There’s lots of bargains flying around at the moment but many are only 1 or 2 day offers, so if you’re on the lookout for some new kit, keep your eyes on the look out and don’t dither, because if you do then it’ll be gone by the time you make up your mind, otherwise (excuse the plug) give me a call and let me do it for you (well you are on a PC sales website).
