Posted by Simon Salvin on 23. Jul 2008 on Simple PCJust a quick note to say the Terms & Conditions of the Support Plan have been updated, customers who have a valid Support Plan will soon receive a letter detailing the updates, but for your info here they are:
1. The Support Plan has been updated to reflect the updates released for both Windows XP and Vista, Service Pack 3 for XP and Service Pack 1 for Vista, Simple PC will only offer support for PC’s running the latest Service Pack’s, if you are running a previous Service Pack Simple PC will update the PC on the first visit, for Windows Vista the Service Pack update can take up to 1 hour to complete.
2. Simple PC will no longer support PC’s running Peer 2 Peer file sharing programs which promote illegal downloading of copyrighted material.
Legitimate P2P programs such as BBC’s iPlayer, 4OD & Sky Player will be supported.
This is in light of recent reports detailing up to 40% chance of virus infection by using such programs.
Simple PC will be happy to remove such programs and health check your PC before the purchase of a Support Plan.
