Last week I had taken all I could take from my broadband provider (name & shame: Bulldog). They’ve provided me with telephone and internet for the last 3 years. Overall the service has been exceptional, with the odd line issue here and there. But the major issue for me has been behind the scenes, the customer service and billing issues.

1. Customer Service – Well it would be nice! They lack skill, tact and common sense, if they behave in the same manner when leaving the office, then how do they survive in life???? Some people may call them trained monkeys, I find that insulting to the monkey race! They’re more intelligent.

2. Billing – They can’t! I gave them several chances and advised if they didn’t sort it I’d cancel my direct debit, I provided them with all the information they needed to know (because they don’t want to find it themselves!) and they still ignored it, so I cancelled my direct debit, the next communication I received was a year later, yes thats right, 1 year, a full 12 months, with no exageration or the bending of time and space! and that said pay up or we’ll cut you off. That was just the beginning, if I continue I’ll be here until next christmas writing away.

So to cut a long story short, I spent more time on the phone trying to sort out the problems than actually using the internet! So they’re gone!

Welcome my new supplier BT. The bulldog line went off last Friday and BT swiftly reconnected it that afternoon, I then placed the broadband order and was told it would take a week. After 24 hours I was having withdrawals, started shaking and pulling my hair out, I was on the edge of insanity. Its amazing how the internet effects our lifes!

Only a few days later (today infact), by a miracle, the nice BT engineer man decided he didn’t have a great deal to do and switched me on!!!!!

Bless that man, I have been saved!

I’m sure you haven’t noticed I’ve been offline, and I’m sure you don’t really care, but here’s to let you know, I’m back :)
