Bluetooth Printer
Posted by Simon Salvin on 26. Apr 2009 on PC, TechnologyIt’s taken me about 5 months to write about this, but hopefully it may come in handy and help someone out should they stumble across this?
Back in December I installed a new PC and came across a HP 995c Bluetooth printer, it was one of the first Bluetooth printers released around 5/6 years ago. The customer had paid a good amount for the printer and it was in perfect condition, so he didn’t want to have to buy a new one, the bad new was that HP hadn’t updated this model to support Windows Vista.
It wasn’t a quick look round Google to solve this one, in fact it took some real digging to find a solution. With many thanks to Brenton Klik you provided the following article on his Blog: http://www.brentonklik.com/?p=300
The main issue I had was the bluetooth passkey, I tried the standard 0000 and 1234 with no joy and the printers large manual didn’t provide any clues. With a lot more digging around I found the key to be 0.
If you too are struggling to install this printer with Vista, take a look at Brenton’s Blog for the detailed overview how to install and remember to use 0 for the passkey.
