HD DVD price crash!!!
Posted by Simon Salvin on 21. Jun 2008 on Internet, TechnologyJust as expected after the HD war coming to an end with Blu Ray winning, the price of HD DVD has started to fall dramatically.
Head over to my favourite sites, Amazon and Movietyme to see just how good prices are, you’ll also find the price of HD DVD players has dropped to rock bottom but if you’re interested in purchasing such a player just remember its no longer being manufactured and your buying stock while it remains, however don’t be put off by that as its a low cost way to experience High Def and there’s plenty of back catalogue media available at silly prices.
This week I purchased both the Matrix Trilogy and Planet Earth for the total of £31. And I’ve recently purchased the Bourne Collection which seems to fall in price with each passing week. Take a look and see what you can find, if you find any bargains post back here and let us know
If you’re looking for a new TV set and a look at HD, there’s plenty of deals flying around at the moment, you may have seen the TV adverts from Currys with the Samsung LCD TV and FREE Blu Ray player! I’ll always stick with Plasma as my choice, just remember to audition a TV before buying and when viewing in a large store they will always feed the TV a HD signal, ask them to switch to aerial view or plug in a DVD player with a scart cable and check the picture quality, there’s nothing worse than getting it home and being disappointed!
