More Green

Posted by Simon Salvin on 08. Apr 2008 on Off Topic

I did say my ranting was over for one night but while I’m thinking about all this environmental green stuff I thought I’d throw a question to my readers, “can you explain what a green energy package is?”. Is it just a way to charge you more for electricity and force feed you with green to make you believe you’re a planet saver or are they planting trees, maybe they’re partnering BT?

And why do I keep receiving a leaflet with my paper bill (sorry not going to let that one drop) telling me how to save energy, one of the suggestions being turn of my lights, how am I going to see in the dark if I turn off the lights? Surely if everyone turns off the lights then the energy companies will be losing profits, which will increase prices, we’ll get a medal for being green and the director will still get his new Bently.

Do I see the world in a different light? or am I just turning into a grumpy old man. Let me know?
