The super speed drive utilises transfer speeds up to 5 gigabits per second, faster than SATA and the E-SATA ports found on the last generation of external hard drives, and with backwards compatibility with USB 1.0 and 2.0 PC ports, the plug & play functionality offers greater flexibility than E-SATA.
