Windows Vista Service Pack 1

Posted by Simon Salvin on 22. Mar 2008 on Internet, PC, Technology

When Vista launched many people believed the first service pack would be released within the first year and many have steered clear of Vista awaiting the service pack before upgrading. Well finally 15 months after launch service pack 1 has now been released. On installing the only noticable change is the removal of the search option from the start menu, everything else is under the hood with stabily and security issues being addressed.

The update is available now via Windows Update (recommended), or via the standalone package here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=B0C7136D-5EBB-413B-89C9-CB3D06D12674&displaylang=en
